He's been around a while but it perceived as a new artist because this is his first major label release.

Long, overdue.

The album as a whole is extremely personal, warts and all. There's definitely a desperation in Vic's voice, and that sense of urgency works perfectly for the vibe of the album. This song is a concept song, so listen carefully and piece it together for yourself.

"Homewreaker (feat. Weezer)" is a close second in my favourite jams from this album. Give both a listen.
